The next PATH UHMS Hyperbaric Skills and Emergency Management Course that will be hosted in conjunction with our joint AsMA/UHMS Annual Scientific Meeting in Atlanta. The Skills Lab will be off-site, but nearby, at Regenerative & Hyperbaric Medicine, Inc. of Sandy Springs, GA, Friday, June 6, 2025, one day after the ASM general session ends.? Seats are limited to 25 learners, and available first come-first served. Once registration is full, we will start a wait list as cancellations almost always happen. You must have all online PATH modules and the final exam complete with a passing grade, at least 3 weeks before the course date, as well as have your membership up to date. You can register for the Skills Lab while you continue to work through the online PATH modules, but they must be complete before the start of the course to receive your graduation certificate on-site. This course is a requirement for the UHMS Program for Advanced Training in Hyperbarics (PATH). The conjoint AsMA/UHMS Annual Scientific Meeting will be hosted June 1-5, 2025 (Skills Lab is Friday, June 6th). UHMS STEM SCHOLARSHIP 2025 AsMA-UHMS Joint Annual Scientific Meeting, June 1-6, Atlanta, Georgia. The UHMS STEM Scholarship provides individuals with registration-free admittance to the AsMA-UHMS Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM). STEM scholarships are awarded to students in a degree-granting program in science, technology, engineering, or math. Candidates must complete an application and a 300-word essay. Additional eligibility criteria are outlined in the flier below. At the conclusion of the meeting, candidates are required to complete an exit interview and a survey on their experience. STEM scholars can expect to shadow top scientists and physicians in academia and medicine, complete projects and summaries. Participants can expect to increase their knowledge of how humans perform in undersea environments utilizing various gas mixtures and the risks associated with operating in extreme environments. Participants will also increase their knowledge of clinical hyperbaric medicine and how increased pressures and oxygen can improve patient outcomes in certain disease states, conditions, and traumatic injuries.
