In September, we had the privilege of hosting an event with Invesco Real Estate. Thank you very much to Peter Prus Wisniewski and Jake Hamilton for taking the time to speak with us. We were fortunate to hear their knowledge and expertise of current market trends in commercial real estate from an investment perspective as well as learn more about internship opportunities at Invesco. It was insightful to hear about their experiences at Invesco and we look forward to opportunities in the future to engage with Invesco again.?

At the start of this semester, we had the privilege of hosting an event with Prologis. Thank you so much to Mike Goodwin, Mario Lagnese, Jack Robertson, Aidan Reilly, and Max Fried for taking the time to help make this event possible. Their expertise provided a deeper understanding of current market trends in the industrial sector and it was insightful to hear about Prologis’s innovative strategies in the logistics and supply chain spaces. It was invaluable to learn more about their perspectives and career insights from their experiences at Prologis, and we look forward to future opportunities to engage with Prologis again.

Last month, we had the amazing opportunity to visit the CBRE team and their office in Salesforce Tower. A special shoutout goes to Kurt Altvater for his guidance during the tour, which left a lasting impression on our members. As aspiring professionals residing in the Bay Area, we were enriched by the opportunity to delve into the history of San Francisco real estate and explore current macroeconomic trends with some of the finest professionals in the industry. Thank you once again to Kurt Altvater for a remarkable experience. We look forward to fostering continued collaboration and learning opportunities in the future.

His expertise shone as he skillfully guided our analysts through a case study, providing thorough explanations along the way. We were captivated by Nic's journey into real estate and the passion that drives him in the field. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Nic for sharing his knowledge and insights with us. The event was both enlightening and inspiring, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to engage with Nic again in the near future. Thank you to the JLL team: Adam Lasoff, Ryan Wagner, and Kylene Tsai, for speaking and hosting a session that focused on the office and multifamily market in San Francisco. Their analysis offered a comprehensive overview of key trends and with their assessment of complex market drivers, it added a detailed perspective on San Francisco’s future projections to the audience. As a market that is close to home for many of us, understanding the real estate landscape and potential investment openings is incredibly informative! We really appreciated the insights and guidance that were shared and hope to see you all again! Thank you to Jeanne Ho, Alanna Duffy, and Kenna Royse for an insightful panel in which they shared about their commercial real estate careers. Each of their unique paths highlighted passion, strategic choices, team dynamics, mentorship, and experiences in overcoming challenges in the field. Because of the differing perspectives on career decisions and practical advice for aspiring professionals, many of the audience members were able to take away valuable knowledge that will help shape their future paths. The panel also explored JP Morgan’s use of technology in financing, the competitive market, and global firm advantages. Discussions about client strategies and investment trends offered us a comprehensive industry overview and a closer understanding of what makes JP Morgan’s work with their clients different.
