Paddle 4 Troops is proud to offer the Harry "Diddle" Blackwell Scholarship to assist dependents on their educational journey. Scholarships for 2025 will be awarded in amounts of $2,500, $1,000, or $500, with a continuation of $1,000 for up to three additional years (maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher). Eligibility requirements: -Must be 25 years old or younger -Must be a high school graduate accepted to a 2- or 4-year college/university, or a current full-time student at a 2- or 4-year college/university in the U.S. -Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher from high school or college Deadline to apply: April 12, 2025 For more information and additional application requirements, please contact us: [email protected]

UNCW has received its largest philanthropic commitment in the university’s history - a $25 million gift commitment from Dr. Yousry Sayed and his wife Linda ‘78, ‘85M to support healthcare initiatives and teacher recruitment and retention. "Both Yousry and I benefitted from many opportunities created by the combination of higher education and our own hard work," Mrs. Sayed said. "We chose to reinvest in our community by supporting similar opportunities for generations of students, faculty and staff at UNCW.
