We’re on a mission to bring diverse stories to life with the Wine About It Anthology Series, starting with a prelude centered on the experiences of Black women. Through essays, poetry, and art, we’re exploring themes of healing, identity, and self-trust—creating a safe space to connect, learn, and grow. ?? Our Goal: Make these stories accessible to all—through local libraries, Liberation Is Lit bookstore, and community events. But we can’t do it without community!?? How Your Support Helps: ? Today I had the honor of being #PrincipalForADay at John P. Thomas Elementary School in Richland County School District One . Thank you to Principal Latimore for welcoming me and for all that you do, I have a new perspective and a newfound respect for the school district, school administrators and especially principal of elementary schools . Principal Latimore was an excellent guide and truly showed me what empathetic leadership looks like and how to communicate effectively with various groups of people to ensure each persons social and emotional well-being was respected. It was truly an honor! While at #JPThomas a group on students introduced the idea of learning more about digital media and literary arts, with one young lady expressing her interest in becoming a journalist. I would love to bring a collaborative literacy art program to the students at #JPThomas but need some assistance.
