Some wise words from our very-own Michael Burton, MBA.
CEO @ LockStop - The Smart Lock that Mounts to Existing Bike Racks to Provide Convenient Security and Key Data Insights to Grow Active Transportation
As founders, we spend a ton of time educating ourselves and preparing for investment—pitch decks, financials, the whole nine yards. But this morning, I was hit with a thought: the ultimate investment isn’t capital. It’s confidence. Confidence doesn’t come with a minimum check size or an accredited investor profile. It costs the giver little but adds a value that money can’t touch. We’ve been lucky to receive waves of it—quick chats, LinkedIn comments, emails—all of it feels like rocket fuel. Even if the bank account’s running low, confidence is the capital that maintains momentum. I’ve had some incredible confidence investors in my journey. And our big mission at LockStop is to return the favor by sparking that same belief in others. So here’s the charge: if you believe in someone, their idea, or their mission, tell them. Your confidence might be the nudge they need to push through or take the leap. Confidence investment change lives, and moves the needle. Let’s invest generously. ??

??♂? LockStop at Cold Turkey Mountain Bike Fest! Mike and Clayton Woodruff, MBA spent the day connecting with riders in Tulsa, OK, sharing peace of mind and hearing firsthand how LockStop can make a difference. Reflecting on the experience, Michael Burton, MBA said: “It was cold this morning, but that first smile—it’ll warm you right up.
