We are a nonprofit, 108-bed community hospital preserving excellent, compassionate and trusted care where it is needed most: close to home. As a cornerstone in Eden, N.C., and a major employer, we serve people throughout Rockingham County and in neighboring Southern Virginia areas. In addition to inpatient, outpatient, surgical and emergency care, we offer diagnostic and treatment services, provide screenings and tests and lead wellness initiatives. Our strong community ties motivate us to raise our standards every day, assuring that we provide trusted care, close to home.

The Foundation is funding two full scholarships for Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) attending Rockingham Community College's Certified Nurse Aide I sessions. After a distinguished career spanning over four decades in healthcare leadership, Steve Eblin, president and CEO of UNC Health Rockingham announced his plan to retire, effective December 23, 2025. UNC Health Statewide President Tammy Scarborough shared, “From day one since joining UNC Health Rockingham (UNCHR) in Oct. 2019, Steve has been an integral part of the success at UNCHR and has created a strong culture through the example he sets each day.
