After an incredible COIL+ experience, I’m excited to share that BUSI302: Innovative Solutions – Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Sustainability in Malaysia is now complete! I’m beyond proud of my amazing students—Autumn, Major, Corey, Leah, Chethana, Michaela, Makenzie, Gracie, Alex, Diya, and Emily—who embraced the challenge of navigating time zones and language differences to gain meaningful insights into Malaysia’s approach to innovation and sustainability. Together, we experienced personal growth, collaboration, and hands-on learning—that’s what BUSI302 is all about! A heartfelt thank you to Benjamin Hershey, UNC Global Affairs, UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, Kansai University, and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) for making this journey possible. #COIL+ #GlobalLearning

Over the next two weeks, we'll be sharing previews from our Class 22 fellows of their presentations at the spring conference! The first one comes from Patrick Asi?ero, who will talk about working with young people to transform anxiety about the impact of climate change into future possibility: “Climate change and its impacts are hurting communities and vulnerable populations like young people. As a result, many young people drop-out of school, are hungry and malnourished, and experience anxiety, violence, and exclusion. However, many of them are transforming the climate story from hopelessness to possibilities in their communities around the world. As members of the global community, how do we partner with them, support them, and collectively act to achieve climate justice?” Online registration for the conference closes on Friday, March 28.
