Pleasure speaking at Sundai's anniversary about how to try to cut through the BS in the startup world. What makes the entrepreneur unique is the amount of skin in the game—if you fail, you'll be screwed, but most people who help guide you will be fine. It's a tricky disconnect. Sundai is a great community of hackers that strives to ignore red tape and simply build useful technology and products using AI. My New Year prediction: 2025 won’t be all about agents. While agents are great, they’re really about clever human design for iteratively using LLMs—it’s not end-to-end, and we’ve been doing this for a while. Instead, I think 2025 will focus on non-LLM foundation models. Here, scaling laws and data aren’t saturated yet.
