Last week, I was delighted to take part in the closing ceremony of the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens′ Online Course: Your Future in Green Jobs. ?? This mentorship program was designed with a visionary goal: to connect young changemakers interested in a sustainable career path with global experts, enabling them to apply their newly acquired knowledge in practical, impactful ways. ?? ? The course featured inspiring and diverse projects, ranging from creating eco-friendly phone cases made from coconut waste to organizing tree-planting workshops. A green curriculum integrates climate mitigation and adaptation in teaching and learning from pre-primary, primary, secondary and tertiary school levels as well as in teacher training. It emphasizes the interconnections between the environment, economy, and society, engaging students across cognitive, socio-emotional, and behavioral domains to inspire action for sustainability.
