???? In the face of anti-rights movements posing obstacles to gender-based violence prevention and response work, we often find ourselves carrying not only the weight of the cause but also the burden of resistance, backlash, and sometimes direct threats to our work and wellbeing. ?? These collective care sessions recognize that sustainable activism requires more than individual resilience – it demands collective care, mutual support, along with intentional community building and maintenance. ?? SVRI, in partnership with Survivors Rise, Raising Voices, UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women The Accelerator for Gender Based Violence Prevention, and Prevention Collaborative, will be conducting six sessions throughout March and April in two different time zones each. Because when we care for ourselves and each other, we resist the systems that benefit from our exhaustion and isolation. ?? Discover all the sessions and register now! First session is on March 11 & 12: https://lnkd.in/dqZH9tff

Last week, the UN Trust Fund team took part in the ACT West & Central Africa Partners Convening in Abuja, #Nigeria. Over 3 days, the ACT workshop brought together UN Women, #UNTF and ACT grantee partners to foster collaborations, encourage knowledge exchange and elaborate a global shared advocacy strategy & agenda to end violence against women and girls. Three #UNTF grantee partners under the ACT programme attended the interactive workshop to present their inspiring initiatives: ONG Nouveaux Droits de l'Homme, Dynamique des Femmes Juristes and Women Advocates Research and Documentation Centre (WARDC) ? WARDC leads an initiative in #Nigeria and #Kenya to enhance the resilience, inclusivity & sustainability of feminist movements with the goal to empower marginalized women and girls, foster intergenerational collaboration & build collective power to effectively address violence against women and girls, including tech-facilitated violence.? ?? ? In the #DRC and #Colombia, Dynamique des Femmes Juristes and Genfami are using an innovative capacity-building model to amplify the collective power of women's organizations, transform patriarchal norms & enhance organizational resilience.? ?? ? In #Cameroon and #CAR, ONG Nouveaux Droits de l'Homme advocates for women's rights by strengthening women's movements to address femicide, sexual violence, harassment, and emerging forms of gender-based violence such as cyber-violence. ?#ACTtoEndViolence UN Women European Commission
