This is the official page for the University of Minnesota Rocket Team, a Campus Life Program at the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities). We are a prolific student-led design team that participates in high-powered rocketry competitions, namely: the Spaceport America Cup, NASA's Space Grant Midwest High-Power Rocket Launch Competition, and the Bayer Alka-Rocket Challenge, as well as several other special design projects. Our cross-disciplinary team is made up of about 100 members, divided into 8 subteams and 5 projects. Members will gain important soft and technical skills, which may include machining, programming and simulation, CAD, circuit design, propellant formulation and casting, material selection and manufacturing, prototyping, teamwork, communication, and leadership.
