The GPS Alliance is hiring an Assistant Director for Contracts and Compliance. This position is an integral part of the International Health, Safety, and Compliance (IHSC) team, supporting and helping expand compliance initiatives in accordance with federal, state, and international laws, University policies and procedures, and education abroad best practices.

Dr. Maringanti brings extensive experience in interdisciplinary research and urban intervention initiatives, and a strong commitment to social justice in the global south. It is especially meaningful that he is also a graduate of the University of Minnesota and an alumnus of the ICGC Scholars program.

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is looking for a Welcome Center Manager. The Welcome Center Manager provides direct services to International Student and Scholar Services staff and clientele at the International Student and Scholar Services Welcome Center on the Twin Cities campus. This role involves managing the Welcome Center and supervising the Welcome Center's student staff. The individual in this position works alongside the welcome center student staff at the front desk providing customer service to all our clients. This position also has several administrative duties related to the assignment of projects, helping with office manager responsibilities, and office-wide events.

The Learning Abroad Center at the University of Minnesota traveled with a cohort of administrators to the UK and Ireland last month. This week-long immersive experience, in partnership with CEA CAPA (London) and the University of Limerick, was a transformative journey for the participants and a strategic investment in the university’s internationalization goals.

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is #NowHiring an Office Manager. This position is responsible for supporting the day to day operations of this vibrant unit, enabling ISSS to provide excellent services to the international community. This position reports to the assistant director of operations and responsibilities include assisting the assistant director of operations with on-boarding new staff, ordering supplies, planning and overseeing office-wide events, and a variety of other duties focused on daily operations; working at the Welcome Center and providing support for the Welcome Center team to greet scholars and students and determine where best to direct their questions; and providing assistance to the assistant vice provost with their calendar and projects.

The China Center developed the Considering China webinar series to explore important topics related to China's many facets and to encourage meaningful conversations and reflections. Join us for the first webinar of the semester this Thursday, September 26. UMD Professor Hairong Feng will discuss the history and development of intercultural communication in China by incorporating her education experiences in the 1990s in Chinese universities, and her recent research and teaching of intercultural communication across the two cultures of the U.S. and China.
