We are proud to share that UMMA’s Annual Turkey Drive was a tremendous success. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the partnership of GIOCG Zakat Chicago, we distributed Thanksgiving meals, including turkeys and sides, to 300 families across Lake County. We were honored to have several local leaders join us in this effort: Mary Ross Cunningham, Vice Chair of the Lake County Board Senator Adriane Johnson, Illinois State Senator Alderman Sylvia Bolton, 1st Ward of Waukegan Alderman Kenny Smith, 5th Ward of North Chicago Sam Cunningham, Mayoral Candidate A special thank-you to all our supporters and volunteers who helped us meet our fundraising goal.
