Seasonal depression, also known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), can make the colder months feel especially tough. Remember, it’s okay not to feel okay, and you’re not alone. Prioritize self-care, stay connected with loved ones, and don’t hesitate to seek support if you need it. #VitalSigns Check out the full video on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gPRnpPC9

???? Last Thursday, our Emergency Department and Burn Center teams partnered with Chalmette Refinery for specialized training on treating Hydrofluoric Acid burns. Dr. Elizabeth Jennison, a world-renowned expert in industrial and occupational medicine from Honeywell Industries, shared invaluable insights and techniques for managing these unique injuries. Partnerships like this are essential to maintaining our role as leaders in specialized care. Huge thanks to Chalmette Refinery for teaming up with us to keep our community prepared! ?? #MissionMonday

Have you seen the replica of the Charity logo in our Atrium? The Great Seal, located on the first-floor lobby of Charity Hospital, holds a special significance. Nursing students were traditionally advised by senior peers to avoid stepping on the seal, as it symbolized respect for the institution. Disregarding this tradition was believed to bring bad luck. A powerful symbol of Charity’s legacy, now beautifully preserved?? #50DaysOfCharity #SpiritOfCharity
