In celebration of Black History Month, the Diversity and Inclusion Office hosted a Black History Month Living Museum. This was an interactive and engaging experience. Dr. Rose Kronziah-Seme, Director of Nursing Lab & Simulation participated as Mary Eliza Mahoney, one of the first black graduate nurses. We learned all about Mary's career as a nurse.

Alan Acosta, PhD, is one of the 2025 recipients of the American College Personnel Association’s Annuit Coeptis Senior Professional Award. The Annuit Coeptis Senior Professional Award honors senior professionals who have made significant contributions to the field of student affairs in the areas of administrative service or teaching; research and publication; professional association service; and demonstrated leadership. Dr. Acosta is the associate vice provost for student life and director of positive learning environments at UMass Chan Medical School.
