With support from World Librarians, a student club at UMass Amherst advised by Professor Charlie Schweik, Malawian students Gracia Yasin & Nthanda Katunga built 12V batteries from recycled materials and secured victory at the 2022 Malawi National Schools Science Fair. Their teacher sourced instructions from World Librarians, proving the power of knowledge-sharing and global collaboration. Meet Charlie Doody, a public policy undergraduate student who recently interned at the Office of Grants and Research in Braintree, MA. During his internship, Charlie reviewed applications for several grant programs and worked with the communication department to publish press releases.
