Global Climate Association Featured in PoliTeknik for Terra Confluence 2024: A Global Collaboration for Climate Literacy and Innovation We are proud to share that PoliTeknik, a renowned German Newspaper, has published an article featuring Terra Confluence 2024, an event spearheaded by the Global Climate Association in partnership with HerWILL - Women Inspired in Life and Leadership and UMass Amherst NSDC Chapter. Terra Confluence 2024, held in April - May 2024 during Earth Week, brought together global participants to address the urgent need for climate literacy and environmental stewardship. The event united experts, educators, students, and community stakeholders from around the world in a collaborative effort to drive tangible climate action and innovation. With a diverse set of educational tracks—from the Climate Conundrum Challenge for secondary students to the Climate Data Analytics Showdown for university participants—this event successfully bridged the gap between knowledge and real-world application, fostering a new generation of climate-conscious individuals. Delighted to share insights from the first-ever Young Data Science Wizards Competition 2024 held from Jan 16-29, in an Indian high school setting! Featuring two engaging DS tracks: 'Climate Data Analysis' and 'Fake News Detection', this initiative, a joint effort with my partner Dr. Poulomi Chakravarty G and under the UMass Amherst NSDC Chapter and the Global Climate Association NSDC Chapter, has received an incredible reception from both students and school staff.
