We're thrilled to share that R&D - Research & Development World has featured our Factory of the Future 1.0 (FoF 1.0) as one of the “24 R&D Trends that Redefined 2024”! This groundbreaking 3D printer can print at 500 pounds per hour with a massive build volume of 96 x 32 x 18 feet—enough to print a 600-square-foot house in under 80 hours. The development of this technology is central to the Green Engineering and Materials (GEM) building expansion at University of Maine in partnership with Maine College of Engineering and Computing and UMaine College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, set to transform sustainable manufacturing and innovation on a larger scale. Combining additive and subtractive manufacturing, continuous tape layup, and robotic arms, FoF 1.0 is paving the way for a new era in bio-based and large-scale production.
