Diana Stewart is a full-time student at Sacramento State, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Real Estate and Land Use Affairs. She currently works for GoodSpace High Performance Builders as a Community Support Specialist. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in development, focusing on sustainable and affordable housing in the Sacramento area, with an emphasis on Passive House standards. The WIRE Scholarship offers $2,000 toward educational expenses and includes a one-year student membership to the Urban Land Institute (a $130 value). It is open to college students who identify as women and are pursuing degrees or careers in real estate development and land use fields such as civil engineering, architecture, environmental studies, construction management, and real estate finance.

ULI Sacramento has been selected to be part of Cohort 4 of the Urban Land Institute Net Zero Imperative! Given the pressing challenges real estate is facing globally on advancing building decarbonization, ULI Sacramento is honored to announce that our District Council is one of ten District and National Councils that have been selected to participate in the fourth Net Zero Imperative (NZI) Cohort. NZI is a multiyear initiative to accelerate decarbonization in the built environment and is a significant aspect of ULI’s work to advance its net zero mission priority. In addition to the technical assistance efforts, NZI participants collaborate in a global cohort that shares best practices and solves problems together. Local champions continue to encourage implementation and follow-through of the resulting recommendations. ULI research staff also pulls key themes to create global resources that help the wider real estate industry decarbonize.
