These funds will help students pursue careers in healthcare, empowering the next generation of healthcare leaders. ?? He was recently honored along with nominees Kara Holbrook (pictured), Brooklyn Williams (pictured), and Jenerose Richards (not pictured). Family members established the not-for-profit DAISY Foundation in memory of J. Patrick Barnes after his death at age 33 from Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura. The care he received from his nurses while he was ill inspired his family to establish this award.
