The NGC has set ambitious goals for the UK in 2050 – 1.5 GW of geothermal power generation capacity and 10 GW of geothermal heat. ?? A geothermal industry of this scale could avoid CO2 emissions of about 10 million tons per annum, and create about 50,000 jobs with a lot more other indirect jobs in associated industries. So how do we get there? Key to this endeavour will be collaboration, something at the core of the NGC. ??
