I am thrilled?to share that my team is the Local CFA Equity Research Challenge 2025 winner, hosted by?CFA Society Spokane! After quite a few long nights and plenty of coffee, we?got the opportunity?to deliver a presentation that showcased our deep understanding of Itron Inc. Our team conducted an in-depth equity research analysis on?ITRI, focusing on its position in the smart meter industry, growth opportunities in smart grid expansion, and strategic margin expansion through operational efficiency improvements. We used Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Precedent Transaction Valuation, and Comparable Company Analysis to form our investment recommendation, all supported by detailed risk assessments. Most importantly, I couldn't be prouder of my incredible team:?Ellie Thomson, Connor Patterson, and Abby Thomson.?A huge?thank you to the industry experts we interviewed for sharing their valuable insights with us, as well as Ryan Farmin, CFA?, CFP? for organizing this event!

Earlier this week, Vandal Solutions hosted our Spring Info Night, and boy, was it a success! On this (very cold) February evening, over 100 University of Idaho students and faculty joined us to learn more about our organization and help us celebrate 25 years of service! For two hours, the Vandal Ballroom came to life thanks to the incredible efforts of Abigail Krug and our Events team. The room was full of excited voices sharing passions and stories that energized a new crowd of students and faculty, all excited to learn about Vandal Solutions. With the energy this event brings also comes an amazing opportunity to reflect on how grateful and honored I am to be the President of Vandal Solutions. The second I joined this group, I became enthralled by the feeling of bringing ideas and passion to life, while being surrounded by some of the smartest and most creative people I’ve had the opportunity to meet. Each person is passionate about the organization for different reasons, each finding fulfillment in different aspects of VS, and together, they form the beautiful mosaic that is Vandal Solutions.
