Our Foundational Literacy students just published their children’s books they’ve been writing over the semester. Here they are involved in an Author’s Celebration. They read each other’s books and left each other reviews. Their books turned out amazing!

This week, our Literacy Methods students finished teaching their small group lesson plans to their peers. They worked for weeks developing a small group lesson in the area of phonological awareness or phonics. We are so proud of them!

Last week Heather Pule and Roberta D. Raymond, Ed.D hosted an event where faculty and students gave each other book talks over books provided by a grant from We Need Diverse Books. Everyone had an opportunity to share their book and win free books! They’ll be hosting another book chat event in November.
