Last week, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, UGI Utilities was named the recipient of the 2025 Ruby Payne Cook Award for Community Service by the Crispus Attucks Community Center at the organization’s 37th-annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast. UGI Utilities has supported Crispus Attucks Community Center through an annual school supply collection at the Lancaster office (spearheaded by employee Kizzy J.), as well as volunteer efforts at their food pantry and an EITC contribution. ? Crispus Attucks Community Center is a program of Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County that supports youth and families in Lancaster by providing community services and cultural programs that preserve the African American heritage. Ruby Payne Cook served for nearly 30 years as the first Executive Director of Crispus Attucks Community Center. This award was established in memory of her commitment and dedication to the center and the African America community.
