HUGE thank you to the IRS Criminal Investigation division for coming out and speaking at FSOAC’s last GBM of the semester. Our members saw a unique path of what jobs are possible within the realm of accounting!! Thank you for all the members that came out!

Thank you so much to Crowe for speaking to our members at our fourth GBM! Their insightful presentation included busting accounting myths for our underclassmen, discussing how Crowe is utilizing AI, and diving deep into who Crowe is as a public accounting firm! Huge thank you to everyone who attended and participated in the Q&A!

Huge thank you to KPMG US for presenting at our second GBM tonight. Not only did they discuss opportunities for our UF accountants, but they offered insight into the recruiting and interviewing process! Extending our gratitude towards our panelists: Rick Cincotta, Hannah Cohen, Gianna Hoch, Allison Laird, Dayna McKently, CPA, Hayley Price, & Andrew Russo!! And, of course, Chloe Lipking Koechlein gave an amazing presentation for our members!

So happy to meet all of our new members and reconnect with our returning members at FSOAC’s first GBM! FSOAC has so much to offer to UF’s accounting students so we are so excited for this semester!!

What a successful Business Bash!! It was great meeting all of the aspiring UF accounting students and informing them about all our club has to offer. Looking forward to seeing everyone at our first General Board Meeting on September 10th at 6:30PM in Gerson 126!

Thanks to all who joined our final GBM of Spring 2024 with RSM's Managing Partners, Danny Jackson and Paul Marvel! It was comforting to hear about RSM's supportive work culture, where people can develop strong skills, industry expertise, and professional relationships. Additionally, their insights about how AI is changing audits, making them more efficient and innovative while focusing on talent and people experience, were very helpful. Thank you all for supporting us in our GBMs this semester. We are excited about FSOAC's future and look forward to seeing you become successful professionals.

Appreciation to all who participated and contributed to our General Body Meeting with FORVIS! A special thank you to FORVIS professionals David Swartz, Kyla Gribbins, John Nienajadloo, and Paul Augello. We truly valued the insights into the distinctive opportunities within middle market accounting, and it was enlightening to hear from associates representing various offices. Our upcoming GBM with Baker Tilly is on Monday, March 18 at 6:30 pm in GER 121. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Our 3rd General Body Meeting was a fantastic success with Deloitte! A huge shoutout to our incredible speakers, Brandon Oliver, Bea Throngprasertchai, Megan Simmen, CPA, and Ian Lasher, for sharing valuable insights into the remarkable benefits of working at Deloitte and the emphasis on building a strong and supportive community within the organization through mentorship. Their perspectives helped our members understand the unique aspects that make Deloitte an outstanding workplace. A big thank you to everyone who joined us. We are excited to see you at our 4th GBM of the semester on Monday, March 4 at 6:30pm in GER121 with FORVIS!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our second General Body Meeting of the semester! We had an amazing time engaging with each one of you and are thrilled to have provided FSOAC sweatshirts to all attendees. We are incredibly thankful for Berkowitz Pollack Brant professionals Fransheska Pacheco, M.S, Leeland Bien, CPA, Michael Liebert, Jairan Shirazi, and Christian Oliva, CPA. Your insights into the potential career journeys and opportunities within Tax, Technology, Audit, and Forensic Accounting at BPB were invaluable. Finally, we are excited to announce our next GBM with Deloitte on Monday, February 19 at 6:30pm. We hope to see you there!

Special thanks to KPMG for an insightful presentation about the importance of mentorship and guiding your career!
