UCSF’s Center for Community Engagement is seeking proposals for student projects done in partnership between UCSF students & Bay Area community-based partners. Projects must help advance health equity and $4,500 in grant support is available for both the student and the community-based partners. Project ideas must be submitted by December 13th, 2024. The UCSF Anchor Institution Mission Team proudly shared the poster “Process, Partnership, and Policy: Describing the Development of the University of California, San Francisco Anchor Institution” and the 17th Annual Health Equity and Anti-Racism Research (HEAR) Symposium! The poster examines the use of community engagement and partnership activities within the UCSF Anchor Institution Mission to identify what factors are necessary to enact meaningful cultural and structural change to increase the health of under-resourced communities in San Francisco. "This program does more than just enhance patient care—it’s a powerful example of workforce development and community investment.
