We’re thrilled to celebrate a groundbreaking paper produced in partnership with Kyushu University in Japan. Their paper introduces the Academic Gender Equity Index, an innovative tool that quantitatively assesses the gender-neutral academic climate across university divisions by analyzing scholarly output by gender. Key findings include: ?Increasing the number of women faculty alone isn’t enough to create a bias-free environment. ?The absolute number of women faculty significantly impacts research achievements, highlighting the importance of networking. ??
