UCSB Gauchos Go Green

Last Wednesday, Dr. Jeffrey Bennett joined Gauchos Go Green for an inspiring and insightful discussion on climate change and innovative solutions for a more sustainable future. Dr. Bennett, an astrophysicist, educator, and advocate for science communication, shared his expertise on the urgent need for climate action and the creative approaches we can take to address this global challenge. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from him and engage in meaningful conversations about the role we all play in creating a greener, more sustainable world. Last quarter, our Green Certification Chair, Nick Crockett, and our President, Mira Becker, gave a presentation on the California Green Business Network and the incredible efforts of Gauchos Go Green in making Greek life more sustainable. Thanks to their dedication, we proudly certified the first-ever Greek chapter houses in California, proving that sustainability and Greek life can go hand in hand. Building on this success, our Green Certification Committee is expanding its impact this year by supporting local businesses in Santa Barbara and Goleta on their journey to becoming Green Certified. We're excited to continue driving sustainability forward in our community!
