Fashion Club at UCSB

We are thrilled to share our second-annual Fashion Club Spring Runway Showcase from earlier this month! It was a beautiful night of creativity, connection, and artistic celebration. The show featured 8 student-designed collections, 7 student stylists from Fashion Club, 50 student models, and a talented team of photographers. This event would not be made possible without our dedicated team of 45 High-Council members who worked behind the scenes since September to plan the showcase. Our fully student-led team established sponsorship deals, secured funding, executed marketing activations, and recruited incredible talent to highlight! It was a huge success and we appreciate everyone who attended and supported. We want to thank Barbara Regala, Tiffany Phung, and the entire Poshmark team for their unwavering support and partnership this year - thank you for helping us bring this event to life! Our club is dedicated to providing a community at UCSB for artistic exploration and professional development within the fashion industry. We are thrilled to announce that our Indiegogo is live for this year's Spring Student Runway Show! The UCSB Fashion Club Annual Spring Runway is our iconic two-hour event featuring 8 student-designed collections, 7 student stylists, 50 student models, and several student photographers. This project is made possible by our team of 40 students who work behind the scenes establishing sponsorship deals, securing funding applications, executing marketing activations, and managing our Community Center site. This year we are pleased to have the opportunity to host our runway show at the UCSB?Art, Design & Architecture Museum. However, with this prestigious venue comes a large amount of additional costs, including the hefty space reservation fee, museum staff payments, insurance, etc. Thus, we are going to need as much support as we can get as we are a non-profit student organization. We are thrilled to share more about our incredible collaboration with Poshmark this past quarter! We embarked on a journey to pilot Poshmark's live auction feature, bringing our campus community closer to the world of fashion uniquely and engagingly. Throughout the quarter, we hosted multiple PoshShow live auctions that featured students' clothing and engaged them in this platform of reselling. We loved seeing our campus community come together and be a part of the app's growth. Our partnership extended beyond auctions, with additional events designed to immerse our student body in the Poshmark experience. We aimed to provide students with more resources to shop and sell via second-hand clothing channels and ultimately support sustainable initiatives that matter to us. The Fashion Club at UCSB looks forward to continuing this journey and sustaining a lasting relationship with Poshmark. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported our events.
