  • As President of AIS at UCR, Justin Lamy has dedicated himself to preparing students for the future of technology-driven careers. But beyond technical skills, he’s learned that leadership is about discipline, balance, and learning from those who came before you. His leadership approach focuses on time management and embracing challenges. "Develop a routine and understand your priorities, having structure is a powerful tool for productivity and personal growth," he explains. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by commitments, he believes students should see them as opportunities: "One should not complain they have too much on their plate when they wanna eat."???? During his time as AIS president, the organization introduced an online PowerBI certification course, allowing students to gain tangible skills that improve their career prospects. Through it all, Justin’s biggest mentor has been his older brother, whose advice has shaped his perspective on leadership: "A smart man learns from his mistakes, but a wise man learns from the mistakes of others." Justin’s journey is a testament to the power of initiative, mentorship, and lifelong learning. #UCRBusiness #Leadership #AIS #TechSkills #ProfessionalGrowth
