Advancing the independance and full citizenship of people with disabilities.
关于我们
United Cerebral Palsy of Eastern CT works to advance the independance and full citizenship of people with disabilities, including those with Cerebral Palsy, and their families. We believe that individuals with even the most challenging disabilities have the right to quality education and transition services; integrated employment opportunities with competitive wages and career opportunities; and accessible recreation programs. We also promote full inclusion in community life by providing resource and referral, advocacy, and community integration services. Our primary programs are - Residential Services: We provide Supportive Housing for individuals who desire to live in the least restrictive environment, but need additional support to maintain health and safety. Group Day services: For those with significant disabilities, our day programs provide assistance with activities of daily living and community engagement. Individualized Day and vocational Services: Providing opportunity to engage in 1:1 services in the community, including support in finding and maintaining competitive employment. Student Transition Program: Serving young adults ages 18-22 with life skills and vocational training. Project Search: A 9-month intensive internship designed to lead to competitive employment for young adults ages 18 - 33 with developmental disabilities. Assistive Technology: We conduct evaluations to and assessments to identify tools that allow for greater independence at home, at work, for recreation and to prevent social isolation. For those who can't afford the technology, we operate an assistive technology lending and demonstration center. Inclusion and Advocacy: Provide information, referral, case management and advocacy for individuals who need assistance obtaining services and tools on their own.

I'm reaching out not just as the Board President of UCP of Eastern CT but as a proud parent. I have seen the impact of UCP’s services firsthand. When I needed help for my son, UCP's caring staff provided flexible, critical support that met our family’s personalized needs. Thanks to their dedication and your generous support, I’ve watched my son achieve milestones that once felt out of reach. Learn how your support has helped my family through the stages of our lives. UCP’s work is funded by people like you. As the holiday season approaches, I hope you’ll join me in supporting UCP.
