“UCLA has always been a leader in innovation, and the UCLA Alumni Association is a leading demonstration of how universities can connect with, learn from and support their alums. As a Board member, I can help shape how the Association transforms the ways our world-class university empowers Bruins from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences to thrive both personally and professionally long after graduation.” - Devon Dickau ’07, MBA ’15 Learn more about Devon and Board Volunteer Opportunities at https://ow.ly/fbOy50V8s9n

“As a student, the direct support from UCLA Alumni and the Association staff helped shape my career, leadership and life experiences. The dedication of those who give back and the staff who create opportunities for our Bruin community to thrive have a huge impact on everyone who is a part of the UCLA ecosystem at any stage of life. As a board member, I value giving back and helping to ensure that everyone in our community, from the furthest alumni to the youngest student, has accessible pathways to success.” - Samantha D'Souza ’18 Learn more about Samantha and Board Volunteer Opportunities at https://ow.ly/kKWQ50V8rTK

The heartbeat of First Draft Taproom & Kitchen is Bruin Business 100 honoree, Kevin Slattery ’77. Located in Downtown Los Angeles and Denver Colorado, First Draft was established to unite beer, cider and wine enthusiasts, and has become the ultimate gathering spot for Bruins on game day. Kevin shared, “Since becoming part of the Bruin Business 100, we've been able to more effectively market First Draft as a dedicated Bruin business, willing and able to help the Bruin communities in Southern California and Colorado to the fullest extent possible. This has included offering more Bruin Watch parties for various sports (now including women's basketball), hosting the new student send-off party in Colorado, hosting new Big Ten game watch parties for Bruin football, and hosting various other Bruin support activities in Los Angeles. We proudly display or framed Bruin 100 certificates at both our locations, promoting other Bruin attendees to events as often as possible.” Cheers to the Bruin business community!
