Disney truly does bring magic to everything they are involved with ?? The University of Utah was glad to welcome Robert Armitage and Anita Endsley from Disney Live Entertainment to campus on Wednesday for audition workshops with our College of Fine Arts students! The first stop was a dance call with the School of Dance and Musical Theatre Program. Over 70 students got on stage to learn the choreography and get tips and tricks for auditioning. The next stop was with the School of Music and a visit to Professor Bobick’s Opera Workshop class where Robby and Anita shared information about Disney’s various opportunities. The last stop of the day was with the Musical Theatre Program in Professor Eggers Senior Showcase class. Students were able to go through a true audition process and get positive and critical feedback on the two contrasting pieces they performed. Overall, the day was extremely successful as Disney got to view the hard work and talent of our U of U students. Special thanks to Erin Farrell Speer, Melonie Murray, Emily Bertelli, William Maguire, James Bobick, and David Eggers from our amazing programs within the College of Fine Arts. Also shoutout to James Wesson, M.Ed. and Cameron Vakilian for supporting all of these students through career coaching.
