We're excited to share our playlist of videos created as a part of the climate action grant awarded to UC Students for Burnet Woods! This grant was awarded to support UC4BW's mission to increase accessible and diverse environmental education about Burnet Woods’ culture, ecosystem, and features. Thank you to the City of Cincinnati’s Office of Environment and Sustainability, as well as the Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Youth Climate Action Fund for making this project possible. University of Cincinnati Students for Burnet Woods (UC4BW) is a group of students who are passionate about our sacred green space that neighbors UC's main campus. We work for and support initiatives that promote equitable access to the park, as well as the park's preservation and well-being. Group activities include but are not limited to nature hikes, park clean-ups, invasive species removal, programs in the park, and other volunteering opportunities. We support Cincinnati Parks and the organization Preserve Burnet Woods.

UC Students for Burnet Woods has been leading a virtual trash pickup with students for a little over a week. So far we have a collected impact of 10 service hours! Always uplifting to see students getting into their local greenspaces and interacting with their community??

Join UC Students for Burnet Woods, Cincinnati Parks, and over 30 community organizations at our 150th birthday party for Burnet Woods! Burnet Woods is an 89.3 acre park in Cincinnati’s urban core featuring countless natural wonders including migratory birds, salamanders, fossils, and towering old-growth trees as well as hiking trails, a fishing lake, playgrounds, picnic areas, an historic bandstand, and the WPA-era Trailside Nature Center. Come on out on April 20th from 10am-2pm to enjoy live music from The Tracy Walker Band, food from Jill’s Mobile Kitchen, yoga by World Peace Yoga, nature education in Trailside by Cincinnati Parks’ Explore Nature program, as well as local art, crafts, activities, games for the kids, and so much more!
