Experts from UC Health’s LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) Program and the Department of Emergency Medicine partnered with Take10 Cincinnati to lead a session on CPR for LVAD patients and caregivers in the Emergency Preparedness and Response Center. This ensures that families of LVAD patients are prepared to help their loved ones. Together, we’re strengthening our community’s ability to provide life-saving care.

Living with recurrent seizures is a daily challenge for the 3.4 million Americans diagnosed with epilepsy. At the UC Gardner Neuroscience Institute, we're working to offer better outcomes to epilepsy patients. With nine dedicated specialists, we offer Epilepsy Monitoring Units at UC Medical Center and West Chester Hospital. After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Ron Solomon became one of the first patients to undergo an innovative new cancer treatment at the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center. As part of a groundbreaking clinical trial, his white blood cells were extracted, sent to a specialized lab, and genetically altered to target his specific cancer cells. For Ron, this represented an approach that went above and beyond traditional treatments, offering the possibility of a future with more days spent with his family and paving the way to hope for others with pancreatic cancer.
