UC Davis Design and Construction Management delivers new, high-quality buildings at the forefront of green building design. We work to transform existing facilities using state-of-the-art systems and manage improvements to the infrastructure of the largest campus in the UC system. In addition to advising the Chancellor and Provost with the planning, oversight and allocation of funding for capital improvement projects, DCM also works with deans and vice chancellors to assign building space for education and administrative purposes.

The construction portion of the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden's Arboretum Waterway is done -- a year early -- thanks to our dedicated staff, students, volunteers, project managers from UC Davis Design and Construction Management, UC Davis Facilities Management, our contractor McGuire and Hester, who is truly a partner and as excited as we are, not to mention a grant from the California Natural Resources Agency ! Due to a surge in pet ownership during the pandemic and a steady increase in caseload, the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital Orthopedic Surgery Service now experiences a continual demand for its high-caliber and cutting-edge services, resulting in a backlog of patients. Currently, there is a four- to six-week wait time for orthopedic surgeries to address non-life-threatening conditions. The caseload for orthopedic surgeries has steadily increased over the past 30 years and has long since reached the capacity of the hospital’s existing surgical suites. The center will address this growth and future needs for more surgery space. https://lnkd.in/gEcrXZsd
