Big news, California! The state is the expected location for the CHIPS for America Design and Collaboration Facility. University of California joined with the California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) to bring a National Semiconductor Technology Center to the state. Thanks to bipartisan #CHIPSAct funding, this investment is expected to bring more than $1 billion in research funding to California, create hundreds of local jobs and transform America’s semiconductor industry. Joe Merz, lead author of a new study published in the journal Ecosphere & University of California, Davis researcher, suggests that decades of human activities, including ocean harvest & reservoir construction, have disrupted the salmon’s ability to spawn successfully.
