UBS has successfully tested a blockchain-based cross-border payment as part of an experiment with the European Central Bank and Deutsche Bundesbank. Leveraging UBS digital cash, we explored the potential of using the Bundesbank’s Trigger Solution as a means for inter-bank settlement with Deutsche Bank. This is an important milestone in the exploration of blockchain as a suitable technology for the Eurozone to allow commercial banks to efficiently settle digital assets and blockchain-based payments via wholesale central bank money. #shareUBS
