TRIO Upward Bound is an educational program offered during the summer and academic year for high school students from low-income families; and families in which neither parent holds a bachelors degree. The goal of TRIO Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary school and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education. It strives to develop the academic and personal skills a student will need to successfully complete college. TRIO Upward Bound is funded by the United States Department of Education (Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965).

Congratulations Dr. Campbell ????
Experienced executive with 25+ years leadership, securing $200M+ through fundraising & partnerships in higher education, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors. Driving growth, delivering results, and building relationships.
Almost since the doors opened at Mercer County Community College, there was Dr. Diane Campbell. For 44 years, Dr. Campbell dedicated herself to the betterment of Mercer students and the community through service and action, with a commitment to help those who need it the most. Dr. Campbell retired from MCCC as Vice President for Student Affairs July 1, 2020 and she has carried on her legacy by maintaining the Dr. L. Diane Campbell Scholarship Fund. As a graduate of Trenton High School, Dr. Campbell has always stayed close to home and has been passionate about giving back to her community. She has served on the board of directors of Building One New Jersey, the United Way of Greater Mercer County, Shiloh Community Development Corporation, and as president of the Trenton Board of Education – all of which has given her a unique perspective regarding educational needs in the region. Here is how you can honor her: 1) Make a gift to the College: www.mccc.edu/give 2) Attend the April 11, Mercer Gala honoring Dr. Campbell: www.mccc.edu/siss 3) Make a donation to the Diane R. Campbell Scholarship Fund: www.mccc.edu/campbell Congratulations Diane!
