In 2024, the global automotive logistics market was valued at $230.78B and is projected to grow at an 8% CAGR through 2030. This growth is critical to the global economy, as auto logistics play a pivotal role in ensuring vehicles and parts move efficiently worldwide. But with escalating supply chain disruptions, the evolving demand for electric vehicle (EV)-specific transport, and the uncertainty around tariff policies, automotive suppliers face significant challenges in meeting demand while managing costs. At Uber Freight, we're helping automotive shippers navigate this complex landscape by providing real-time visibility, dynamic routing, and AI-powered insights that optimize shipments, reduce costs, and enhance cross-border efficiency. As tariff policies continue to evolve, we reached out to our partners and customers to understand how they're preparing for potential impacts to shipping operations. Here's what some of them said: “Cross border shipping is now on hold. [We] pushed out volumes [last month] to get ahead of the tariff application.” “[We] moved import volume up in advance of tariff implementation dates. We're looking into all options on cost analysis, insourcing vs using external providers, and other alternatives, but ultimately the costs will be passed on to the consumer if nothing is resolved.” “[We are] exploring a prior vendor in El Salvador, and moving from China to Vietnam for mold imports.”

Women have been driving the transportation industry forward—mile by mile, shipment by shipment ?? From truck drivers and supply chain leaders to logistics experts and tech innovators, women play a vital role in shaping the future of freight. This International Women’s Day, we honor trailblazers who paved the way: ?? Lillie Elizabeth McGee Drennan – the first woman to earn a commercial truck driver’s license in the U.S. ?? Mary Fields – the first black woman to carry mail on a Star Route for the U.S. Post Office. ?? Gladys West – the mathematician whose research laid the foundation for GPS, transforming how we navigate and transport goods. At Uber Freight, we’re proud to work alongside the women who keep supply chains moving and push our industry forward—today and every day. #InternationalWomensDay

Tariff Update: President Trump has announced a one-month exemption from the 25% tariffs on goods from Mexico and Canada covered under the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement. This comes after automakers raised concerns that the sweeping tariffs could severely impact U.S. manufacturing. While this temporary relief buys time for key industries to adjust, uncertainty remains. Stay tuned for updates.
