I'm still full of inspiration from recently attending UBC's first annual National Renewable Energy conference, held at their incredible International Training Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. I've been working to engage unions in building renewable energy for over a decade and this conference showcased their success in BUILDING POWER, both literally and politically. The attendees were equally split between carpenters, signatory contractors, and industry professionals, including many Oceantic Network members from Avangrid, Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind, ?rsted and Invenergy. We also met some of the union members Oceantic features in our Jobs Tour Videos, like Liz Almond-Frias, a millwright who climbs the inside of offshore wind turbines everyday because she is driven by experiencing life! And of course, I got to hang out with my friend and collegue in offshore renewable energy Abby Hopper ??
