UBC Bitcoin Incubator is a truly exciting venture that seeks to provide an environment where bitcoin-related ideas, projects, programs, events, and businesses can be studied and grown. During the year we run educational events on campus, promoting bitcoin literacy, engaging the student body, and bringing like-minded individuals together to collaborate about a new age of digital currency and innovation. One of the incubator's main initiatives is to get the UBC community to realize the benefits of bitcoin as an everyday currency. We facilitate the adoption of bitcoin as a payment method by on-campus merchants. We connect our incubator membership with leading professionals in the bitcoin industry. In pursuit of career development in the world of bitcoin, we grow relationships with the top bitcoin organizations Vancouver has to offer. Bitcoin opens up a wealth of business opportunities. We provide on-campus, student-ran, bitcoin businesses with seed capital to pursue their goals and objectives.
