I’m thrilled to share that International Student Services at the University of Arizona International is officially hosting a pop-up pantry in our Global Office! We're proud to collaborate with Associated Students of the University of Arizona fantastic Campus Pantry Program and join their network of pop-up pantries across campus. The pantry operates on a take-one-leave-one basis and is open to all U of A students, faculty, and staff. The program aims to increase food accessibility around campus. Did you know that 1 in 3 university students face food insecurity? I have faced it myself, and I know firsthand how critical these programs are. By developing mutual aid networks, we can reduce the stigma surrounding food insecurity and meet the immediate needs of our community through strengthened support and care. Bringing the Wildcat Sprit to India! The past few months have been an incredible journey as the University of Arizona hosted Meet & Greet events across cities in India, connecting with aspiring Wildcats and their families. These sessions in Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vadodara & Ahmedabad were designed to provide personalized guidance, meaningful conversations, and a warm welcome to students preparing to embark on their UOA journey. ? One of the highlights of these events was the opportunity for students to gain personalized insights, whether it was about academics, campus life, or future career opportunities. It also provided a space for open conversations and meaningful guidance. As students prepare for this exciting transition, we aimed to equip them with the knowledge and confidence to make the best choices for their future. Another key focus was highlighting the value of a University of Arizona degree - from top-ranked academics to a strong global network and career-defining opportunities. These conversations helped students understand how their education would shape their future success. ? What made these events even more special was the involvement of families. Parents play a crucial role in this journey, and we wanted them to feel just as welcomed into the Wildcat community. Beyond information, these events were about connections - students meeting their future classmates, sharing aspirations, and fostering friendships even before stepping foot on campus. After initiating the UPC-University of Arizona 2025 orientation sessions with the faculty of Business, we closed out the week with the faculties of Systems and Industrial Engineering, Communication, Economics and Law. Earlier this month, the University of Arizona hosted a visiting delegation from its longtime partner, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), marking a decade of academic collaboration and innovation. Since UNAM established an international site on the U of A campus 10 years ago, the partnership between the two institutions has grown significantly, deepening ties across multiple disciplines and fostering impactful research and exchange opportunities. Just wrapped up 28 high school visits, 6 presentations, and multiple counselor networking events including a counselor retreat with an open forum discussion! ?? I always enjoy giving my favorite presentation - "Finding Your Best Fit University" which helps high school students to narrow down their application list and come up with practical ways to determine where to study. Delegates from the Academy of Innovative Semiconductor and Sustainable Manufacturing (AISSM) at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Taiwan recently visited the University of Arizona to explore opportunities for student mobility and other collaborations. The visit brought together experts from both institutions, fostering discussions to bridge an international pathway for students to advance their careers in the semiconductor industry. The delegation, led by Dean Su of NCKU AISSM, engaged with U of A counterparts in electrical engineering, optical sciences, chemical engineering, and engineering science. So proud of Bat-Orgil for making history as the first University of Arizona Wildcat to win the prestigious Schwarzman Scholarship! ?????? Bat-Orgil, a UofA and W.A.
