German researchers brought more than 2900 start-ups to market in 2023, 148 more than in 2021 and 751 more than in 2019. Most of the new start-ups were in the areas of software and social entrepreneurship. This is shown the #startupradar which evaluated a total of 175 universities. According to the report, every second university now has written cooperation agreements with companies or public bodies in the area of start-up support. The number of these has more than doubled to 1910 projects in the past two years!

The third Hardware Reverse Engineering Workshop (HARRIS) will take place from March 17 to 18, 2025, at the conference center of Ruhr University Bochum. Hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy (MPI-SP) in collaboration with the CASA Excellence Cluster and the Research Center Trustworthy Data Science and Security (UA Ruhr), the event offers a unique platform for knowledge exchange and networking. Dieses Jahr ist ein besonderes Jahr, bewirbt sich das Cluster doch um eine dritte F?rderung innerhalb der #Exzellenzstrategie. RESOLV-Sprecherin Prof. Martina Havenith von der RUB berichtete in ihrem Festvortrag über das vergangene Jahr, das ma?geblich von der Ausarbeitung des Neuantrags und den Vorbereitungen der Pr?sentation des Exzellenzclusters RESOLV bei der Begutachtung in Bonn gepr?gt war. ?Wir haben in 13 Brainstroming-Sitzungen über drei Jahre hinweg neue wissenschaftliche Herausforderungen identifiziert, die wir nur gemeinsam als starkes Team adressieren k?nnen“, gab Havenith Einblicke in die Zusammenarbeit zwischen zwei Universit?ten. Im Gründungsradar 2025 des Stifterverband z?hlen die Technische Universit?t Dortmund und die Ruhr-Universit?t Bochum deutschlandweit zu den zehn st?rksten gro?en Hochschulen. ?? From the Heart of New York to Lehigh University – An Unforgettable Journey with DLAB! The past few days in New York City have been an incredible mix of culture, learning, and networking! ? ?? Our time in NYC was filled with inspiring conversations and valuable insights. At University Alliance Ruhr's liaison office, we engaged in thought-provoking discussions on #entrepreneurship, while a meeting with Tobias Baehr of the rising AI startup Bridgetown Research gave us a firsthand look into the future of tech #innovation. We also had the chance to experience the diverse cultures and cuisines of students at the Global Village at New York University! ?? After eventful days, we immersed ourselves in the city's entertainment scene, enjoying a Broadway performance of Sunset Boulevard and a night of laughter at the Broadway Comedy Club. ?? Now, we’re heading Lehigh University, where five DLAB students – Naya Hanna, Colin Kolbe, Urvashi Maheshwari, Eva P., Toby T. – are excited to meet Professor Michael Lehman and Lehigh students to take part in the Technical Entrepreneurship Week. Over the next days, we’ll be working intensively on a #startup idea, turning knowledge into #action and sharpening our entrepreneurial skills. ??
