Delighted to have road-tripped with AI Core to the Arizona Western College 2024 Horizon Conference in Yuma Arizona! Team leads Amimul Ehsan Zoha and Jackson Grove led Thursday with an AI Core Custom GPTs & Agentic Architectures workshop, followed by a faculty-engagement discussion on AI for education and society. It was stimulating - touching on the AI companionship phenomenon, the way students are *really* using AI in their coursework, and what a future of "educators as coaches" might look like. Our Friday morning address to ~200 business leaders, educators, and students was a highlight of the trip for us. We loved sharing our discoveries and being a part of the college's strategic planning. My team and I found ourselves in dozens and dozens of energized conversations! XR leads Denisse Guerra and Taoseef Aziz entertained with our Digital Twinning, and Kashyap Nadendla just about stole the show with his Pink Floyd inspired WebCamGPT app. There is tremendous change afoot but the bottom-line on AI in Arizona is that there is a near future that is bright with opportunity. We had a blast visiting and sharing... and count us in for a return to Yuma in Spring 2025 with our AI/XR Workshops!
