January has been a testament to the incredible journey of the UA EMBA experience. We welcomed our newest cohort, EMBA 41, with orientation, their first day of class, and a Winter Networking Reception to introduce them to the EMBA community. Meanwhile, EMBA 40 celebrated a significant milestone—their last first day before graduation. A special thank you to Alexa S. Chilcutt, Ph.D., and Adam Brooks, Ph.D., for consistently imparting valuable skills to our students. Thanks to Harry Long for delivering another successful business case challenge, and to our wonderful judges—Shannon Kramer, Anne Wallace McSorley, MBA, and Lauren Wilson! Our students also earned their Relational Leadership badge under the guidance of Dan Bachrach and Donna Blackburn. We also had the privilege of speaking with the Tuscaloosa Chapter of United Way to share more about our program. Looking forward to all that’s ahead in 2025!

With deep sadness, we mourn the loss of a beloved professor and an extraordinary human being, Dr. Burcu Keskin. Dr. Keskin taught for many years in the Executive MBA program, sharing her passion for Operations Management and inspiring countless minds on the best ways to apply this profound subject. Dr. Keskin will be deeply missed by alumni, faculty, staff, and peers for her kindness and the light she brought to everyone around her. Her legacy will live on through the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Our thoughts are with her husband, Dr. Sharif Melouk, her beautiful children, and her many family and friends during this difficult time.
