This week, the University of Arizona announced the grand opening of the Lundgren Consumer Science Center University of Arizona Norton School of Human Ecology.? This state-of-the-art facility is set to revolutionize retail education and research, thanks to the generous support of Terry Lundgren and Tina Lundgren. The Center features cutting-edge technology, including VR digital twin, a University Center for Assessment, Teaching, and Technology (UCATT)?digital makerspace for influencer content, an Ortery Technologies product shots and advanced customer tracking and analytics from Amoobi. With instruction from key Faculty and Lab stewardship from Jay Sampson & Sheila Kressler-Crowley, MS & Elena Rodriguez, students will gain hands-on experience in diverse retail scenarios, preparing them to excel in the ever-evolving retail landscape. Thank you Pres. Suresh Garimella, John-Paul Roczniak Tamara Patrick Olivier Delangre Laura Scaramella Shane Burgess Melody Buckner Ash Black Denisse Guerra for joining us in celebrating this milestone and the incredible opportunities it brings for our students and the retail industry!

Many thanks to Terry and Tina Lundgren, whose vision and generosity we celebrated Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Lundgren Consumer Science Lab, part of the The Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing, at McClelland Park. Part of the Retail Collaborative partnership between University of Arizona - College of Agriculture, Life & Environmental Sciences and University of Arizona, Eller College of Management, the lab also encompasses University Center for Assessment, Teaching, and Technology (UCATT), U of A College of Information Science and the University of Arizona Campus Store as a “world-class hub for learning, creativity, and research”, to borrow the words of University of Arizona Norton School of Human Ecology Director Laura Scaramella, and will propel our students even further as they go out to become leaders and job creators in the retail sector, which drives 70% of the U.S. economy.?
