?? Exciting News from ReLAB! ?? We are thrilled to announce the launch of a groundbreaking tool aimed at assisting sexual assault victim-survivors and their communities across Minnesota. Through a collaborative effort between ReLAB, U-Spatial, and the Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault, we have developed a first-of-its-kind map that displays the availability of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) and advocacy locations throughout the state. This initiative is a significant step forward in ensuring that those in crisis can quickly and easily access the care and support they need. Individuals can now use our interactive map to find the nearest SANE and advocacy services with just a click! We are grateful for the partnership with U-Spatial and MNCASA in making this map a reality. Together, we are paving the way for better accessibility to critical services for sexual assault survivors across Minnesota. We're #hiring! U-Spatial is seeking a detail-oriented GIS Technician to join the multi-faceted U-Spatial team at either our Duluth or Twin Cities office. The GIS Technician’s effort will primarily support hazard mitigation planning work in consultation with U-Spatial staff, academic staff, and external entities, with remaining effort going to other varied projects. This could include GIS analysis, data cleaning, cartography, scripting, report writing, and communication with clients. This position will be exposed to a wide range of geospatial technologies and methods; however, day-to-day work will include non-GIS tasks as well. U-Spatial in the news! Read about how the University of Minnesota has been using geospatial mapping to track progress on the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We hope to create a framework for tracking SDGs at a local level that can be replicated in communities around the world, but also result in collaborations right here in Minnesota! 'The goal is to share the analyses so that counties can compare their progress and collaborate. “It might be after-school learning, it might be SNAP?[Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program] food services, it might be agriculture finance.
