Not only are we giving you a mini tour of our warehouse (for the first time EVER!), but we also wanted to tell you a bit more about our core business principles + our story that didn’t make the video: ???????? Family Owned + Operated ? Our service company USWHPRO was founded in 2018, by father and son, Jim and Jim. Within our first 4 years, the uswhpro family has expanded to 50+ team members, including a few other family duos! ?? Quality Parts ? One of the keys to our success as a service company is having our company trucks serve as mini mobile warehouses for genuine manufacturers’ OEM parts. We’ve wanted to make these same parts available to the general public from the very beginning, which is why we are proud to introduce @hotwaterparts ~ our online water heater parts store! ?? In Development ? Because this project has been ongoing for the last 6 years — we decided to share our parts store journey (and other related announcements) here on our second Instagram. We are currently in the process of customizing our website so that it is easy to use and serves as a tool, which has taken a significant amount of time and planning. ?? Swipe to open the box ?? THESE parts came off a “leaking” water heater from a restaurant that called for emergency service. They thought their water heater was leaking because they saw water dripping into the top of the unit and completely lost hot water. The leak wasn’t actually coming from the water heater, but a pipe above. Although we don’t quite know when the leak started, we think it had to be ongoing for some time because of the calcification. After a mini-rebuild, replacing ALL the parts shown, the unit was back up and running ???

Although all of our technicians already have water heater and mechanical experience, we want to ensure they are comfortable using the tools of the trade and can confidently diagnose and repair residential (i.e., smaller) water heaters before moving on to tankless and commercial water heaters. Since most of our technicians are remote workers, they often head from their homes to their first service calls between 5:00 and 6:00 am, while local technicians may stop at headquarters to pick up parts and any other special orders items ?? ?? ???? TECH CHECK-IN: JERRIE ??Cincinnati, OH We’re baaack and live(-ish) from the field! Since we’ve been posting nearly every day on Instagram, we thought we’d come back with a Facebook/LinkedIn exclusive post. Here’s a day with Jerrie, one of our Ohio-based Service Techs: 1?? Diagnose + Repair: Electric Water Heater ?? Leak Sensor Error caused by the sensor becoming wet (not from an actual leak) ? After checking the overall operation of the unit and ensuring there were no leaks: removed the sensor, dried it out, and re-installed it 2?? Diagnose + Repair: Electric Water Heater ?? No Hot Water ? While checking the water heater’s installation, Jerrie found that the unit was improperly wired and set for usage with 240v, when it should have been 120v. He fixed the wiring and changed two faulty elements. 3?? Install Part: Electric Water Heater ?? Power Board Failure ? Another tech was previously at this customer’s home to diagnose the issue, but could not replace the Power Board then because we did not have any in stock. The part was ordered from the manufacturer, Jerrie installed it, and verified the unit was functioning properly. 4?? Install Part: Standard Atmospheric Water Heater ?? No Hot Water; Manufacturer Tech Support diagnosed issue as faulty pilot ?? Upon arriving on site, Jerrie found that the customer received the incorrect part and because the part has been in high demand, he did not have any in stock and had to order it from the manufacturer. While on site, he also noticed: ??Unsafe venting: missing draft hood, incorrect pitch + length ?? ??Potential flame hazard from paint cans stored all around the unit from floor to ceiling ???? ??Cool Taco Bell ?? sticker wrapped around the unit ????
