Another example of U.S. Silica’s commitment to our Core Value of Community. Invasive species are very destructive for native plants and wildlife, and their removal helps restore an area’s natural biodiversity.?
Happy to support U.S. Silica Company's - Ottawa facility in removing wild parsnip, an invasive plant species, from their perimeter areas. Over 200 plants were treated to mitigate their spread. Wild parsnip is a rapidly spreading invasive plant that may cause burns from contact with its oils and exposure to sunlight.

We are proud of the robust internship program we created this summer. We have five interns sitting at three of our sites, and they are working on a wide variety of projects for the company — everything from safety and engineering to HR and accounting. This week, we were excited to host the interns and several HR team members at our Pacific, Missouri plant. Mining operations have been conducted at this location since the early 1900s, and material from this plant was used to build the famous Route 66, which runs alongside the plant. #ussilica #industrialminerals #oilandgas #advancedmaterials #sand

We were happy to host National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) team members this week at our Berkeley Springs, W. VA plant. We got to learn about the facility's community relations efforts and history within the local town. We also saw first-hand their safety protocols, environmental practices and transportation methods.
